Enabling Service Account Password Rotation

Modified on Wed, 21 Dec 2022 at 09:52 AM

This article will cover how to enable and configure automatic Service accounts password rotation

Overview

CoreView makes use of service accounts to perform operations on behalf of a Global admin account on a customer’s tenant. These service accounts have a password, stored on a secured key vault, that is not changed by default. Customers that want to follow the security practice of changing these passwords at regular intervals can now choose to have it done automatically by enabling the designated setting for their organization.

Prerequisites

There are two prerequisites for enabling the automatic password rotation:

  1. The feature is currently in beta, it will be necessary to contact support to have it enabled on your account.
  2. Advanced management needs to be enabled (refer to the linked article for How to enable and configure CoreView management session (New UX)
