Brief Introduction

As a Delegated Operator or Tenant Admin, when I access "Analyze" Tab, "Endpoint Manager Reports" "Intune devices/Intune BitLocker keys/Windows Autopilot devices", I want the opportunity to run an import for a single device whenever I want to, even if another Intune import is running at the same time. If I have an import error, I want to reload that import without waiting for the current import to finish and without bothering my end-user.

Background

In the past, when you enrolled a device, and something went wrong, you had to reset the device and wait for the end of the scheduled import to see the device again in CoreView. This was very frustrating, as you would have to reset the device and potentially wait up to twenty-four hours to import the device again. CoreView has solved this by adding the ability to import a single device when an import failure happens.

Main Feature

Adding a single device that has failed to import just got easier. By following this process, you will be able to Import your device without resetting it or waiting for the current import to finish. This will allow you to run the import more frequently when needed and immediately correct any issues for a device.

We allow synchronizing an existing single device in Endpoint Manager Reports, independently from the Intune import scheduled. Adding a Reload icon in the device's row lets you start a synchronization by yourself for that single device.

How To

When your import fails, you will be able to reload that device to correct the issue. Let's walk through these steps.

  1. You are currently running import devices, and one of your devices fail to import correctly. You should now be on the "Analyze Tab", "Endpoint Manage Report", and "Windows Autopilot Devices".
  2. Tap on the "reload" icon shown at the start of that device's row to initiate the import (again). These requests will run an Intune import for that single device. This means that the interested device will be updated only in the report from which the import was run.

(Clicking on the icon, an import for that single device will run, even if an Intune import is running at the same time. Once the import is over, the device will be updated inside of only the report from which the import was run.)

  1. Your device should now be ready for utilization and listed in the CoreView portal for your Tenant.
  2. Please make sure that you have added the device to all the needed Reports. This import corrects only one import at a time, and you need to ensure you manage the device completely.

Objective Completed

You should now be able to apply these instructions if you have an error while running a batch of imports and run into a single device error. I hope this has been informative and you successfully corrected your error.
